ANNOUNCING ... A NEW HEAD ALPHA ON WOLFHOME ... PLEASE READ

Hello Wolfhome!

Effective immediately, I am turning over the day-to-day administrative operations of the Wolfhome chat to RedFoxx. This means that RedFoxx will be the "head alpha" on Wolfhome.

I am not going anywhere, and this may not be a big change for this website. I am doing this (retiring as the head alpha) because I want to spend more time on the technical and the business aspects of running this website. I think that the best thing is for me to focus on things like the database and the coding and have someone else to actually administer the website itself.

For those that don't already know this, Steve (RedFoxx) is the person that in many ways is most responsible for this website being here today. Well okay, I admit that I played a role too (lol) but he was the one that sent me the first email after Kerfuffles's site had been down for a time. I replied back (politely) telling him that I would think about his request and that he should contact me again if I didn't get back to him in a month or so.

Well, about one month later I got another formally worded email where he reminded me that I had asked him to get back in touch after a month. At that point I started seriously thinking about what he had asked and I realized that this really could be done and, in fact, *needed* to be done.

Several others played important early roles in the Wolfhome "resurrection", of course. For instance, FoxGrin also contacted me early on and many others were involved in helping me get the site launched. It's possible that none of that would have happened though, if RedFoxx had not started it rolling. So blame him! :)

Here is your chance to congratulate RedFoxx on his promotion to Head Alpha. This means that if you have a concern about Wolfhome, resolve it in the same way as before using the problem resolution guidelines posted here:

Basically all it means that you try to resolve it by talking it over with the other person first, and escalate to an admin if necessary. If you end up having to go "all the way to the top", you need to talk to RedFoxx, because he is the head alpha on Wolfhome now. If it is a technical or business issue, he will probably end up forwarding it along to me, but even then I would like for him to be the first point of contact so that he is kept "in the loop" so to speak.

I seriously believe that RedFoxx will make a fine head alpha on Wolfhome, and I hope you will all agree. If you have concerns or questions about this, feel free to contact me. Send me a PM on the forum and I will try to get back to you right away.

In conclusion, I again want to stress that I am not going anywhere. It's not like I live on WH anywayz, ya know? I tend to pop on, try to fix stuff, then pop off again. That will be still the way things work. If anyone is concerned that this is the first step in some scheme for shutting WH down... or in doing something else silly... well just forget about it right now. Because I love this site and I have no intentions anywhere remotely close to that. I just need some breathing room in order to work on it more and also to focus on some other similar chat sites like WizardChat, which I will explain in more detail in the near future. So stay tuned!
