I dont like it much, seems a little cheesey to me, but hey, thats why theres an off button.
With the new "is typing" stuff, is there an option to turn that off aswell? Lagging the hell out of me, and it just looks so messy.

For some reason, alot of.. normal faces i make like :) are turned into [:)] when i type them. I have emotes off.. Why does it convert my text into that. why cant it be you HAVE to type [:)] OR it just realizes that :) is the smiley and it makes it the smiley off of that. I don't see why it has to change MY text to make i an emote.

I don't like this idea at all... honestly I think it's tacky and unprofessional. They are extremely out of place, and to agree with Taku, very cheesy.
I still don't like the idea of emoticons, but using wolf ones would be a lot better... like I said, they are extremely out of place. For a site that relies on aesthetics, I don't understand why such ugly(sorry... but they are) emoticons are being used.
I'm sorry if this comes off as insulting or rude... but it's just my 2 cents.

I guess I am not sure why someone would be upset. Also, if there are any people that would like to volunteer some better icons, I have already said that I would love to see them. The trouble is that they need to be about 16x16 in order to fit in with the text. But as far as the current ones go, if you don't like seeing them, turn them off. If you don't like others seeing them when you type, turn that off too. Oh well.

It is lagging your computer? ORLY? The javascript is setting the style from plain to italic. No data is being sent. Lagging? Oh well, turn it off. You will recover.

BTW, Penguin, it isn't doing that anymore is it? That was happening when I was working on the code to make it so you could send the emotes if you want or send plain text if you wanted that instead. I hope you aren't still seeing the brackets around your text...

Are the little wolfies that are used in the forum to big for the emotion icons?
Could they be resized?
