After a lengthy discussion, the Administration Team has decided to take a more lenient step back when it comes to safety threats made in an innocent figure-of-speech and joking context. This is because we want users to be able to express themselves with a little more lee-way. However, in saying this, we will be taking these incidents heavily under a case-by-case scenario. We will not be totally ignoring these comments when made. We will be stepping in under a report-basis or if the comment made is questionable in nature and/or context.
Some examples of what we will be taking a step back on, are as follows (unless reported to us, based on a disturbance):
- User A: I have so much homework to do, please kill me now.
- User A: I got school tomorrow, I WANNA DIE.
- User A: It's so cold outside, someone shoot me.
Other situations where the context or nature of the comment made is unclear or questionable, the administration will step in (regardless if the situation is reported or not). Safety threats not made under the conditions above are still not allowed to be made. This includes direct and detailed threats made as a joke.
To reiterate, these situations will be taken heavily case-by-case to allow more freedom of speech among the chat. Please feel free to reach out to any available administrator if there are any questions or concerns, thank you!
Sincerely,
The Wolfhome Administration Team
