Why IE9 does not work with wolfhome.

The reason why IE9 will no longer work is the HTML+Time module which is no longer supported by IE 9. Meaning it's the "get_element_height" in the page source. there isn't much you as a user can do about it so unfortunately IE9 will be useless unless it starts using the X-UA meta tag to force IE9 to use a rendering/scripting mode that supports the features aka adding "<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7; IE=EmulateIE9" />" to the top of the pages.

The u-xa tag never worked properly for IE8 so that's why you revert the compatibility mode back to IE7.

But as of now your only options are to use IE8 or Firefox4.
If you're dead set on using IE I would suggest using IE8. you can download it here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/info ... 86-ENU.exe

If you don't want to use that just get FireFox which is here:

http://download.mozilla.org/?product=fi ... lang=en-US

Hopefully this will give the right people an idea on how to fix the problem wolfhome is currently having with IE as it's normal for a lot of browsers will copy IE's scripting practices.

Thanks,
Mif

Thank you for posting this, a lot of people don't look through older topics and always ask why Wolfhome isn't working with IE9 :P Firefox is the way to go. And as always, remember that Wolfhome will NOT work with any other browser, like Google Chrome!

I know this is slightly an old topic, but WH works with Google Chrome now, right? So this should be updated a bit to show that as another option :]

Both IE9 and Chrome now work with Wolfhome. Heck, I think even Safari does. :)

I think this topic should be archived as to not create any confusion.
