Hi folks... I changed the code awhile ago so that you can change the case on your name. It doesn't require email confirmation and doesn't count against the "once every 30 days" limit. Sorry, I should have made an announcement sooner. Give it a try. You should be able to change the case (example: "underdog" to "UnderDog") just by going to the map and selecting "my account -> change username".

Tell me what you wanted and I'll set it to that. No worries.

It's due to the new nickname code and should be fixed by now. I will be working on nicknames tomorrow (Wednesday) and will have more updates about that shortly.

It looks like you have a hotmail.com email address, and many sites (not just Chatlands related ones) have problems delivering to Hotmail servers. When you registered, you probably saw a notice similar to this one (I've had it on there for years now):
I can't fix the Hotmail issue. They routinely send back a status of 200 (message was delivered) and then drop the message. It does not end up in a junk folder / spam folder. It just disappears. That's why I recommend you do not use Hotmail, because this can happen to you with friends that send emails and think they were delivered, etc.
As far as the name change issue, I will go take a look and see if I can figure it out right away.

No, it doesn't, since this isn't supposed to be emailing you. But, I found the bug. I think I fixed it. Hopefully nothing else broke! :)
