Copied from the homepage here too! YAY!
Earlier this year the FBI seized servers owned by a crime ring and kept them online so people affected by the "DNSchanger" malware would not lose their internet access. In July 2012 the servers will be shut down. It is expected that around 300,000 people in the US will lose their internet due to this. To prevent losing your internet and check you aren't affected by the malware causing this problem, please check out this link: https://forms.fbi.gov/check-to-see-if-y ... -rogue-DNS" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Remember to check ALL computers in your household!
IMPORTANT: You should really read this
"Your IP is not configured to use the rogue DNS servers."

A DNS is like a name on your speed dial. You see it as a memorable name like Mum, but your phone knows that when you press "Mum" on your speed dial, that it should dial a certain phone number.
DNS is like speed dial, A DNS tells your PC where to go. When you type a web address e.g. http://www.facebook.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, you tell your PC to go to facebook.com, but your PC doesn't know what number to dial so your PC asks your DNS what IP (basically the internet's way of giving all households/web users and websites a "phone number) facebook.com uses, and then dials that IP, all the your PC is displaying facebook.com to you so you know where you are, because if we had to remember IPs things would be messy. If you wanted to go to facebook.com using google's IP you'd have to remember 69.63.190.70 (type into your browser, that number will take you to facebook.com ;) ) but who wants to have to remember series of numbers!
What this malware does is redirect your PC to a new DNS so instead of dialing say 00.00.00.01 for example.com it dials 00.00.00.02 for example.com but it only applies for some websites. Most of the time users would not notice a difference, they mainly targetted financial services such as online banking, paypal etc where getting people's passwords would result in them being able to obtain money. What the FBI has done is seize and then edit the DNS servers to include the links here and stop the false redirecting: https://forms.fbi.gov/check-to-see-if-y ... -rogue-DNS" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This way they can see if you are affected when you:
Click this: http://www.dns-ok.us/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Or this: http://www.dns-ok.lu/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Or this http://www.dns-ok.ca/results-en.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (you need to click I agree to see if you are infected or not)
Or this: http://dns-ok.nl/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you click any of those and it says HEY YOU AREN'T AFFECTED you are fine. If it says you are, you need to read all information here: https://forms.fbi.gov/check-to-see-if-y ... -rogue-DNS" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and do the steps instructed.
If you need your IP address:
Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows NT
Click the Start menu
Select Programs
Select Command Prompt
Type ipconfig /all
Press Enter
Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows ME
Click the Start button
Select Run
Type winipcfg
Click OK
Linux, MAC OS X, Solaris, AIX and other UNIX variants
At the command Prompt type hostname | nslookup
At the command Prompt type ifconfig -a
You may need to become root and include a full path when typing these commands.
Mac OS X
Open the System Preferences in Mac OS X
In the resulting window, click the Network icon.
In the Network window select the appropriate location
IP Address will be shown
Macintosh Mac OS 7.x - Mac OS 9.x
Computer must have an active Internet connection
Go to the Apple menu by clicking the Apple picture icon
Select Control Panels
Go to the TCP/IP control panel or MacTCP control panel depending on operating system
Choose File
Click Get Info

Yes people outside of the US can have this malware and while we may not be affected, malware on your PC is not a good thing so everyone should check regardless.
