Friendly reminder on keeping posts PG-13

This is just a friendly reminder to keep your posts PG-13 at a maximum. We've had a few instances where some users have been pushing or breaking the PG-13 rule.

Please use some discretion when posting, as breaking rules can get you banned from the forum for a period of time.

we consider ourselves a PG-13 chat; so basically if it's not on "The Simpsons" it's not okay

Basically, no overt sexual innuendos/references/outright saying it or graphic/bloody violence. Curse words allowed if not directed at others in a derogatory manner.

PG-13 has always confused me, so I go by 12A, which I think is the UK equivalent.

I get confused on this. Since there's a lot of things that are said/done on TV, which is classified as PG13, but just because something is PG13, doesn't mean it's any less offensive, or opposite, not very offensive at all.

I think it's been said before that WH's PG-13 isn't normal PG-13. It's really PG, I think. PG-13 generally includes very strong language, non-explicit nudity, strong-mild gore, and mild drug use. I don't think WH tolerates most gore, any drug use, any nudity, and even mild language is generally discouraged.

Now, PG allows some profanity, generally not directed at others (like WH), brief nudity (mild sexual innuendos :P), mild violence, and very mild to no drug references. I think that defines WH better, but to say that the chat is PG is to discourage a lot of potential users from a chat site.

I think the rule of WH is generally, "be nice or shut up." :P Which tends to be a (necessary) standard rule for most things.
