I use PS7 and the "triangle/diamond" shape is a manual thing. There's not just a brush that does it, to my knowledge at least. :P I mean you can do it best with, as others have mentioned, a brush that changes size depending on pen pressure. It works much like a traditional medium would, where when it's drawn lightly, it's very small and less opaque, but when you push harder it's bigger and much more solid. (Hope that makes sense lol.)

I have a question for you guys, kindof on, kindof off topic. If I can't find the answer here I will make a new post. I want to make a video to answer questions like these by demonstration. I have a youtube account, but nothing to record my screen that I know of. I don't want any ads or anything. I know livestream works, but I want it to be easier to access. And again, something I can upload on youtube. Any suggestions? (btw only posting here coz I hope to make a video to better explain this!)

Cuivre wrote:the diamondish brush strokes are done using sai (should be just the normal hard brush), you could probably get near enough the same effect using ps but you'd probably have to mess with brush settings etc to get it just right

and the textured name writing is either a preset brush on photoshop with the brush settings messed with or it's a downloadable brush, there are tons on the web and I find deviantart to be a particularly good source of nice brushes and textures[/size]
