A friend asked me for help with canine anatomy and wanted me to make a tutorial... Lol so here.

Notes/disclaimers:
→I do a lot of things I shouldn't when I draw, and I don't do a lot of things I should
→→I sketch most of my head first instead of blocking everything out
→→I don't use a groundline, so my poses are definitely defying gravity
→→I haven't studied muscle structure as much as I would like to have
→→I critique myself heavily; more than 1/2 of the things I draw digitally will never see another pair of eyes and most of the things I draw traditionally only see 2 pairs.

→Some things I think have helped me immensely
→→I was lucky to work as a surgery tech under a fantastic veterinary surgeon for 2.5 years, so I got to play with a lot of anesthetized animals while they were waking up. I got to study how their bones move naturally and where tension would be. I think it's an amazing advantage.
→→I use reference pics ALL THE TIME (even though there's not one in this tutorial... whoops). NEVER underestimate the value of a reference image or two... or 4.
→→I compare animal anatomy to human anatomy all the time (even at work, they're not paws, they're hands, gosh.)

Onto the action I suppose.
