In reference to this announcement, we're moving forward with the overhaul of our first section.

Please feel free to discuss any changes you would like to see to any of the content below. You can post your input in a reply directly to this topic! In relation to this first section, we plan to draft a topic to encourage the use of problem-solving strategies that we will share at a later date.

On 8/24 we will move on to publicly discuss the next rule rework. If we receive little feedback regarding a particular subject, we may choose to proceed to ensure a timely completion. Please note that even if we have moved on, any input regarding previous topics is still appreciated and will be considered before officially publicizing any new rules. Please remember that during this process, we ask that any comments or suggestions remain relevant and constructive. Thank you for participating!
REWORK. Original can be found here.

Introduction of The Laws of Wolfhome

On Wolfhome, we strive to create a relaxed environment for everyone. Members are strongly encouraged to communicate with each other kindly and respectfully. To ensure that everyone has a great experience, we have established certain rules to abide by when taking part in our community.

Even though chat mediators/administrators exist to enforce rules, we believe that members can work out minor issues and inconveniences between themselves through problem-solving and communication. When these methods do not work, however, you are encouraged to use the Ignore feature, which will prevent the other member from being visible to you (and vice versa). You can read more about this feature here.

Rules & Terms of Use
It is important to read the rules of Wolfhome in full before registering or participating in the site in any way as ignorance is not an acceptable excuse for any misconduct. When you register for an account on Wolfhome, you agree to adhere to these rules as well as our Terms of Use, and failure to abide by them may result in a ban from our community. We generally enforce a 3-strike policy for most rule violations: a gentle reminder, an official warning, and then a brief ban. Bans can range from 12 hours to permanent, depending on the severity of the offense and if there have been previous infractions by the same member. If a permanent ban has been issued, your forum account will also be banned. It is important to note that our chat is based in the United States and is therefore subject to US Laws. To read more about our ban policy, please see here.

Age Requirement
As of January 1, 2023, Wolfhome is only accessible to users aged 16 and older, making our rating 16+. If you are under 16, please discontinue using this website immediately. By using or attempting to use Wolfhome, you certify that you are at least the minimum age and meet any other eligibility requirements. If you are below the minimum age, your account may be permanently banned without notice regardless of parental consent. Members may return after turning 16 by submitting a Problem Ticket to appeal their ban.

When registering for Wolfhome, it is important to provide your actual date of birth. Falsifying your age to be more or less than your genuine age may lead to an account removal or a permanent ban if you refuse to adjust it appropriately or are found entering 18+ rooms. Please go here to submit a Problem Ticket.

Account Responsibility
Remember to protect your accounts by keeping your passwords confidential. If another person accesses your account and receives a ban, it will be attributed to your account. This includes allowing others to use your email account(s) to access Wolfhome. We encourage everyone to take extra precautions, like setting a difficult password and using our !lock command.*

*Typing "!lock" in the chat box prompts the site to lock the chat tab. This requires you to enter your password to unlock and interact on chat again, making it a useful protection tool when stepping away from your computer.

Private Rooms
Anyone entering a private room is subject to the room owner's rules. If you do not agree with the room owner's rules, we encourage you to find another location to visit. Staff members will only intervene and mediate within a private room in cases of personal safety, death, self-harm, suicide, hacking, or virus threats, if a minor has been propositioned, or at the room owner's request. It is important to note that log checks may need to be performed during emergencies.

Please note that it is unacceptable to enter or use someone else's private room without their knowledge or consent. Doing so may result in removal from the room and an official warning. We encourage room owners to report such incidents directly to our staff members for proper handling. If you would like to upload your own private room, you may find more information here.

Protecting Minors
Our top priority is to keep minors safe and ensure that all users have a pleasant experience when using our chat. It is crucial to note that adults (age 18+) who interact with underage users (those under 18) are subject to additional expectations. It is not allowed for any adult to expose minors to explicit content or unsafe activities, including NSFW material. Breaking this rule will result in a permanent ban across all Chatlands sites. Any cases of propositioning minors will be reported to the appropriate authorities. Please refer to our Internet Safety Guide here.

In relation to this, spreading false information or unproven evidence that could harm someone's personal or social relationships will result in a permanent ban. Please see our rule regarding False Reports & Mini-Modding here.

If you need to share confidential information with our staff, please refer to our Problem Ticket system here.

Profile Content & Usernames
Any rule violations that take place within your chat profile will result in a warning to remove the inappropriate content. If it is not removed within 24 hours, a staff member will forcibly remove it and notify you. If any more inappropriate content is discovered in your profile, you will receive a 12-hour ban on your account in addition to the content being removed.

If a username violates these general guidelines, a gentle request to change your username will be sent to you. If you do not change your username by the time of your next login, your account will receive a 12-hour ban. Once your ban has ended, you will be expected to change your username to prevent further bans.

All rules follow our regular ban ladder unless otherwise noted, however, if a situation is deemed serious enough or for repeated violations, bans may skip rungs on the ladder, even after a refresh rate has been reset.
REWORK. Original can be found here.

1.) Inappropriate Content

As previously stated, Wolfhome is intended for those aged 16 or older, making our rating 16+. Please ensure that your conduct complies with this rating while visiting our community.

It is important to remember that Wolfhome is a public chat, and others may converse and conduct themselves differently than you do. We encourage showing tolerance towards others if they are causing you annoyance and have not violated any of our regulations. If you find someone's choice of words or conduct upsetting, we suggest utilizing the Ignore feature.
  • Although we do not have any formal restrictions on swearing, we ask that you please be mindful of the words you use. Disrespectful or unwarranted profanity towards other members may result in a ban placed on your account.
  • Uploaded poses approved for our public 16+ rooms may feature sheaths, but any bulges must be subtle and not sexualized. Anthros may have a smooth and rounded bulge, but no phallic shapes are permitted. Nipples are only allowed on feral artwork or anthros with a flat chest. Female-identifying characters or those with non-flat chests may not possess visible nipples regardless of gender. Our Pose Requirements can be seen here.
  • Discussions of a sexual nature generally deemed as R-rated or Not Safe For Work should be held in a private room or whisper. Sharing shock sites, pornography, pirated software, or other potentially harmful websites, including those that could trigger epilepsy, will result in an immediate and permanent ban from all of Chatlands. For rules regarding our mature 18+ rooms, see here.
  • Wolfhome operates within the United States and complies with all US laws. We allow for discussions relating to controlled substances (such as prescription medications and illegal drugs), but only educationally or constructively. Users under 21 cannot discuss usage of or announce being under the influence of alcohol or drugs, unless for educational or medical reasons. Pressuring others to try substances or glorifying their use is not allowed. See below for examples of acceptable and unacceptable conduct.

Acceptable: "I'm gonna go smoke a bowl, brb" or "Oh, I smoke sometimes to help me calm down"

Unacceptable: "Oh man, you should try getting high or drunk. It's absolutely amazing." or "You should try this, it's really good and will get you super high"

In light of our most recent chat announcement, I wanted to mention that further clarification regarding inappropriate content relating specifically to artwork & poses will be discussed and adjusted to better suit the community's desires when we begin reworking our Wolfhome Pose Requirements. You are welcome to bring this discussion up ahead of time via a new topic in Suggestions for Wolfhome.
From: The Sysadmins, User (Wolfhome) (verified) Left at: 2023-08-23 01:54:13
System message for ALL users:

Our Members,

The Staff has been made recently aware of explicit content being shared within our Mature Rooms. We are sending out this reminder to everyone that holding conversations or sharing artwork depicting any sexual themes is not allowed on chat. If you are found to be holding conversations or sharing images, artwork, or streams depicting the following: sexual positions, sexual acts, scenarios, text, bodily fluids associated with these acts, etc, you will be permanently banned from Chatlands without warning.

For your review, please read over 1.) Inappropriate Content and 8.) Mature 18+ Rooms
https://wolfhome.com/faq/rules.php

We take the safety and comfort level of everyone into consideration when dealing with these situations. Sharing this type of explicit content is not something Wolfhome will tolerate or be lenient on. Should sharing explicit and sexual content continue, we will remove both Mature Rooms and Mature poses from being allowed.

Thank you for helping keep Wolfhome a safe space for everyone,
- The Wolfhome Staff

Moving on to the next rule but feel free to continue giving input on anything before this post.
REWORK. Original can be found here.

2.) Spam

Sending too many messages in a short period of time (known as spam or flooding) and rapid movement caused by excessive clicking on the screen are not allowed as they can be very annoying to others. It's okay to use capital letters, but please keep in mind that it's considered "yelling" in online language. Spam can come in various forms, such as frequent pose changes, singing lyrics, excessive use of caps, random letters/numbers, and emojis. If staff members determine that your messages and/or actions are excessively inappropriate, you may receive a warning depending on your current ban ladder status.

If you choose to use the free "!away" feature, please remember that your away message should not be too long or intrusive. Using this feature to intentionally disrupt others is considered spamming. You can use the !away feature to promote character or commission sales, but please limit it to one link that does not take up more than one line. If the link you include makes your away message longer than one line, please shorten it or use a URL shortener such as TinyURL.
We need a bit of help with this one and are trying to find a good middle-ground. For reference, a previous discussion regarding this rule in specific can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=214153

Is the second half of this rule reasonable? Or should it be revised to be more flexible or precise? In particular we're concerned about the use of URLs in away messages, as some members have mentioned that they can often look unappealing and invasive.

Anonymous input to consider:
The !away links/advertising being viewed as invasive and unappealing is silly to me. It's not spam, it's an artist based community attempting to make ends meet. Almost 95% of the time everyone is on chats (in several rooms), they are DEAD or severely semi. It doesn't matter-- at that point --what looks good or not. I do agree tinyurl would be good to use though, to mitigate clutter or confusion, but that's about it.
Based on the input received here and on the Chatlands Town Hall Discord, I've reworded it:
2.) Spam

When promoting sales using !away, it's important to show consideration for others by using a URL shortener like TinyURL then labeling the link appropriately. For example: Commissions Open - (TinyURL link)

Going to move on to the next rule but feel free to chime in with input for any rule at any time by posting directly in response to this topic or bringing it up for discussion via Discord (Wolfhome or the Chatlands Town Hall). 3.) Disturbing the Peace

In most cases disturbing the peace refers to behaving in ways that are upsetting or unsettling to people within the community, causing emotional grief, or trauma. This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Creating unnecessary drama to intentionally disturb another user. This includes misrepresenting Administrative action and falsifying Administrative statements.
  • Faking your own, or someone else's trauma (such as death, an accident...etc.). ** Severe DTP such as this will result in a Permanent Ban across Chatlands.
  • Subjects, images or content that can trigger other members of the community (such as talk of: rape, self-harm, suicide, hate group propaganda or extremist speech, etc.). ** Hate group propaganda and extremist speech are taken very seriously and most instances it will lead to serious consequences, such as a Permanent Ban depending on the severity of the situation.
  • The impersonation of anyone other than yourself, regardless of context. ** Impersonation can result in a Permanent Ban across Chatlands depending upon the severity of the situation.
  • Destructive Criticism of any kind, no matter who it is directed toward
  • Public Blacklists of ANY kind and Do Not Interact (DNI) lists of any kind. If there is someone you no longer wish to interact with, we highly encourage you to utilize the Ignore Feature by typing !ignore and the user's name in the chat bar.
REWORKED.

3.) Disturbing the Peace

Disturbing the peace refers to actions that cause emotional distress and upset the community. Depending on the severity of the situation, the behaviors below may lead to a permanent ban.
  • Creating conflicts by deliberately spreading false information or misrepresenting administrative decisions to others.
  • Faking your or someone else's trauma, such as death or an accident.
  • Harmful discussions or content, including rape, self-harm, suicide, hate group propaganda, or extremist speech.
  • Impersonating someone else, regardless of the context.
  • Destructive criticism of any kind, no matter who it is directed towards.
  • The use of public blacklists or any form of Do Not Interact (DNI) lists. We suggest using the Ignore feature if there is a user you no longer wish to interact with.

If the new age restriction for Wolfhome is 16, why are the bulk of public rooms labeled as 13? I am sure it is just a graphical update that has not occurred yet, but eliminating conflicting messages will only help strengthen the message you are trying to promote.

The age rating for some rooms stayed at 13 to allow for grandfathered members (those who signed up before the age rating changed to 16) to continue having access to the chat. This is a recent concern we've discussed and will be announcing changes to soon. Thank you for bringing it up!

Hey guys, for the rules rework discussions we ask that any comments or suggestions remain constructive and relevant. Any hostile, negative, or unrelated feedback is discouraged, and issues relating to bans cannot be discussed publicly. If you have any concerns or would like to bring something else up (such as the mature rules) for discussion, we ask that you do so in a separate topic in Questions for the Administration or Suggestions for Wolfhome where we will respond and discuss accordingly.

If you'd rather speak to an alpha about this privately, you can feel free to PM Herb directly. Thank you! [Posts have been removed.]

As always feel free to comment on this thread directly should you have any questions/concerns or other input. Please just be sure it's relevant and constructive.

4.) Trolling

If you go on any Chatlands Sites (Wolfhome, Cats Paw Island, Felicity, etc) for the purpose of harassing, causing grief, being disruptive, disturbing the peace, being vulgar, malicious behavior, etc the punishment will be a Permanent Ban across Chatlands, not just from the site where the incident occurred. Any attempt to deliberately cause strife or to disrupt others on any Chatlands Site will be treated as an attack against all Chatlands Sites.

** Trolling will result in a Permanent Ban across Chatlands.
REWORKED.

4.) Trolling

We have a strict policy against trolling. Purposeful or excessive harassment, griefing, disruptive or malicious behavior, disturbance of peace, or vulgarity will result in a permanent ban across all Chatlands sites.

Examples of this type of behavior can include:
  • Purposefully instigating or increasingly aggressive statements
  • Shamelessly bashing a topic others are in favor of
  • Deliberately making absurd or outrageous remarks solely to provoke or offend others
  • Making use of racist or "hate speech" statements solely to elicit reactions
  • Unwarranted insults or name-calling
  • Spam-like acts

This has also been addressed and announcements have been made! You can view the old rule vs the new rule here: viewtopic.php?p=3943803#p3943803

5.) Harassment

Harassment, which is “to irritate or torment persistently" members of this community, is not acceptable. There are many different types of harassment, but harassment of any kind will not be tolerated on this website. This includes but not limited to:
  • Irritating, annoying or tormenting members of this community persistently through means such as "flaming", "egging on", or "shaming".
  • Uncalled for and inappropriate name calling, racial slurs, inappropriate and hurtful slang (such as terms against homosexuality, racial groups, political affiliations...etc.).
  • Sexual harassment or sexual innuendos. ** Sexual harassment may easily lead to a lengthy ban depending upon the situation.
  • Stalking members of this community. ** Stalking may easily lead to a lengthy ban depending upon the situation.
  • Targeting other users in regards to personal issues or differences. Using the chats to criticize or upset others you have personal differences with is not tolerated.
  • Doxing members of this community (making someone's address, information, identity, or other information public) ** Doxing may easily lead to a lengthy ban depending upon the situation.
  • Uncalled for or negative criticism against your fellow community members.
  • Demeaning an artist for their skills level in artistry (such as mocking, making fun of, or speaking ill of another user and their works of art, literature, etc.).
  • Prejudice against religious or spiritual beliefs and extremist points of view. Please keep these to yourself and do not force them upon others.
  • Naming & Shaming and/or pointing out Art Theft. If you do see Art Theft, please contact a member of the Wolfhome Administration and we will handle it.
  • Cursing at other users if it is done so in a belittling, demeaning, or malicious manner. This includes flipping off other users, a group, or an affiliation with a pose or other image that includes the middle finger. Jokingly cursing at friends or calling them names is allowed in moderation, as long as all parties involved understand that it is in jest. If it is reported to the administration and there is no clear joke intended, action will be taken against your account. Any racial, derogatory, or gender slurs will absolutely not be allowed under any circumstances.
  • Begging in public rooms and/or continuous and repeated solicitation is a type of harassment and could get you kicked from the chat. This also includes continuously posting GoFundMe links in public rooms. All members regardless of their Subscription level, are able to use the !Away feature. We highly suggest using this feature instead of continuously posting links on chat that could result in further action taken against your account. If you have a fundraiser such as PayPal, GoFundMe, or any other fundraising site you must have a forum topic so you are able to post updates on it to where the money is going. If you do not have a forum account and you are posting to receive funds you will go up your ladder accordingly.
  • Using your avatar (pose) to harass others; disturbing them, playing with them against their will, invading others space.
To further clarify, slurs/names that may seem ok to you and not to others, is not allowed. We want everyone on Wolfhome to have a safe, and calm chatting atmosphere. We accept every person as they are no matter where they are from, what they do, what they look like, or what gender/orientation/ etc they are and prefer. If someone asks you to stop calling them a name, nickname, etc, you stop; the same applies if you are asked to use the correct pronouns for each person.

**If we have credible evidence of offsite harassment directed towards another Chatlands user appropriate action will be taken, to help prevent further harassment here on site.**

Wolfhome is not responsible for off-site harassment unless it specifically includes the following: Doxxing, Death Threats, Assault Threats (physical/sexual), or Releasing of Private Information (addresses/phone numbers). If you are being harassed off-site, we suggest blocking that individual immediately. If the harassment contains one or more of what's mentioned, please report it to us with as much information as possible so it can be handled swiftly.
REWORKED.

5.) Harassment

Harassment is any persistent, unwelcome behavior that may cause emotional distress. This sort of conduct is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to racism or xenophobia, cursing at others, sexual harassment, stalking, doxing, or begging for money. Further details can be found below:
  • Intentionally irritating, annoying, or tormenting others through personal attacks or criticism. This can include prejudice against another's race (such as using racial slurs), religion or spiritual beliefs, or expressing extremist points of view such as terrorism, xenophobia, and radical political ideologies. Please refrain from forcing your beliefs on others and respect everyone's right to their own opinions and perspectives.
  • Maliciously cursing at or against another member, including using images, emojis, or poses to flip someone off.
  • Sending unsolicited messages of a sexual nature, including the use of sexual innuendos or requests for nude photos/videos/livestreaming sexual acts. Hateful comments based on sex, gender identity, and/or sexual orientation.
  • Stalking members of this community or intentionally sharing or requesting with the intent to share personal information relating to someone's home address, identity, etc. (known as doxing).
  • Targeting someone you suspect has committed art theft. If you are suspicious about someone's work or the use of specific art on Wolfhome, please contact a member of the Art Review Team and allow them to handle the situation.
  • Publicly naming and shaming a member of the community based on who they are, how they act, what they did, etc.
  • Begging or soliciting. Any personal fundraisers must have a corresponding forum topic that is used for updating the community regarding your fundraiser and should be shared via the !away feature or your profile rather than repeatedly posting in chat.
To ensure everyone on Wolfhome has a safe and pleasant chatting experience, the use of certain cultural names may be considered offensive and is therefore not allowed. We welcome everyone, no matter their nationality, occupation, appearance, or gender/orientation, and we ask that everyone respects each other's preferences. If someone requests that you cease using a name/nickname/any other term towards them, including certain pronouns, you are expected to comply.

It is important to note that Wolfhome is not responsible for offsite harassment, however, staff will intervene if a situation involves doxing or threats of assault (sexual, physical, or death) made by specific Chatlands members.
If you see any areas where this can be condensed further, please let us know.

6.) Administrator Harassment

Wolfhome is a place where respect is highly encouraged and harassment and disrespect is not tolerated. The Wolfhome Administration pitches in a little more than your average user. They accept the job knowing that they may make mistakes, that they may face constructive and negative criticism, and that they take on extra responsibilities without pay. You also accept the responsibilities as a member, knowing that the Administration is not perfect. This also includes:
  • Telling an Administrator that "they suck", or how bad they are at their job
  • Repeatedly asking or harassing Administrators about pending poses, rooms, bans, warnings, disputing bans or idle kicks publicly
  • Repeatedly asking or harassing how to become an Administrator or ask to be made an Administrator
  • Yelling at an Administrator for banning you or someone you know
  • Reuploading rejected poses or rooms multiple times without correction
Do not harass them openly or in any way. If you have a problem with how a Wolfhome Administrator has handled a situation, or with some other aspect of their behavior, please fill out a Problem Ticket, or get in contact with an Alpha.
REWORKED.

6.) Harassing Staff Members

Wolfhome strives to create a mutually respectful environment for everyone, including dedicated volunteer staff. To maintain this atmosphere, it is essential for community members to refrain from actions that may be detrimental to the community, such as:
  • Insulting a staff member or criticizing their job performance
  • Harassing staff regarding pending poses, rooms, warnings, bans, kicks, or repeatedly asking how to become a staff member
  • Continuously uploading a room or pose that was rejected without making the necessary corrections. If you need help or have questions about a rejection, please feel free to contact an Art Review Team member.
Although we welcome constructive feedback, we kindly request that you refrain from harassing any of our staff members. They have several duties to fulfill and may sometimes make mistakes. If you are not satisfied with the way a Wolfhome staff member has dealt with a situation or their conduct, please use the Problem Ticket system or get in touch with an Alpha.

7.) False Reports & Mini-Modding

While we encourage you to report any suspicious activity you see, in no way do we promote falsely accusing other users. If you make false reports against another user, we will take action against your account instead. So please be respectful of other users and do not purposely try to get them in trouble if they did nothing wrong. Mini-modding, which means a subordinate taking the responsibilities of Administrators in your own hands which can be more hurtful than helpful, and should be avoided. We understand that you may be frustrated by the behavior of others, but please do not take matters into your own hands. Simply save any logs to send to a Administrator and place the other person on your Ignore List.

** False reports automatically result in an NG. However, if it appeared to have good intentions, you will receive a Reminder.
REWORKED.

7.) False Reports & Mini-Modding

You are encouraged to report suspicious activity but avoid falsely accusing others. Falsely reporting something is a serious matter that may lead to disciplinary action being taken against your account. Please be mindful of this and ensure that you report only truthful and accurate information.

In addition, please refrain from taking on the role of a staff member (also known as mini-modding), as this may cause more harm than good. Instead, save logs of a situation and send them to a staff member.

I apologize for how long it's been between these rule reworks! We are currently discussing #8: Mature 18+ Rooms which may take a bit longer to get through considering votes taken via the CLTH server and testing new ideas. In the meantime, we will move on here, though.

We have recently added what we think is an important change to a previous rule rework, which is highlighted below:
REWORKED.

5.) Harassment

Harassment is defined as "any persistent, unwelcome behavior that may cause emotional distress." This sort of conduct is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
  • Block-evading or using alternate accounts to harass, stalk, or otherwise upset anyone who has placed your main account on their ignore list.

We have also reworked #9, which you can view here:
ORIGINAL.

9.) Multiple Accounts

You are allowed to have as many accounts as you wish. Each e-mail can host up to four accounts. However, try not to use multiple accounts in the same room. This is known as "multi-accounting" and is frowned upon because it takes up slots in rooms that other users could use. Multi-accounting is acceptable until the room is more than halfway full or another user has a problem with it. You will then be asked to remove your additional account by an Administrator.
REWORKED.

9.) Multiple Accounts

You can create as many accounts as you like, but keep in mind that each email address can only hold up to four accounts. Although we do not recommend using multiple accounts in the same room, it is allowed as long as the room is less than half full and no one objects to it. Should a staff member ask you to remove an extra account from the room, you will be expected to comply.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding these or any other rule reworks, please don't hesitate to bring it up here. Thanks!

We've got another batch of rule reworks to roll out! Thanks for being patient with us.
ORIGINAL: https://wolfhome.com/faq/rules.php#10

REWORK:

10.) Threats & Sensitive Topics

We do not tolerate any form of threatening behavior, including detailed or graphic descriptions relating to death/murder, rape, suicide, or self-harm. To protect those vulnerable to such topics, the public discussion of them is strictly prohibited and a professional or highly trusted adult should be contacted instead. Depending on severity, threats or discussions of this manner may be subject to a permanent ban.

In the context of role-play or among friends, death threats may be made but it is important to avoid using overly violent or graphic language as it may be considered gore, which is unacceptable in public rooms. Additionally, staff will only investigate reports of death threats made in private rooms if there is a genuine concern and a report has been filed.

It is the collective responsibility of our community to look out for one another. The Wolfhome Staff are dedicated to preserving the safety of our community by responding to suicide and self-harm threats with utmost seriousness. In the event that a sensitive topic such as this is brought to our attention, an email containing helpful resources will be sent, however, it is important to note that the team is not equipped nor qualified to offer any form of medical advice. Unfortunately, if a situation involving suicide or self-harm persists, warnings or bans may be issued and local authorities may be contacted.
We have also edited the previous rule rework below. The highlighted areas have been added.
EDITED, rework found here (bottom of post): viewtopic.php?f=8&t=214400

The discussion or sharing of shock sites, pornography (as well as zoophilia, bestiality, or any other paraphilia involving animals), pirated software, or other potentially harmful websites, including those that could trigger epilepsy, will result in an immediate and permanent ban from all of Chatlands. This includes any R-rated content found on external accounts or profiles, such as Furaffinity, or discussions held outside of Wolfhome.

While we are still discussing #8: Mature 18+ Rooms and how to implement certain changes, we've put together a temporary rule below. This will likely change, but we wanted to jot down at least some of the changes we're looking into making.

REWORK:

8.) Mature Content & 18+ Rooms

Mature 18+ Rooms are designed for individuals who wish to discuss more mature topics that may not be suitable for those under the age of 18, along with the use of certain poses that may fall under the NSFW category. Although these rooms allow for leniency, we do have certain limitations in place. As long as conversations follow the rules and guidelines below, staff will not intervene. If you feel uncomfortable with the content within these rooms, we suggest avoiding them altogether or utilizing the !ignore feature when necessary.

If you are under the age of 18, please do not attempt to access these rooms, whether public or private, by changing your account age or any other means. We take this policy very seriously and violators will be permanently banned without warning.

While we do allow for more mature topics to be discussed within our Mature 18+ Rooms, we do not allow the following anywhere:
  • The discussion or sharing of explicit content, including artwork, literature, videos, images, or any other type of media, whether censored or not, related to consensual or non-consensual pornography of any kind (including zoophilia, bestiality, or any other paraphilia involving animals), violence, trauma, abuse, animal cruelty, child abuse and pedophilia, death, incest, gore, pirating software, suicide, or torture. This includes any R-rated content found on external accounts or profiles, such as Furaffinity, or discussions held outside of Wolfhome.
  • Personal NSFW or mature photographs, selfies, or any other type of NSFW media relating to you or someone else in person, whether censored or not.
  • The encouragement, promotion, or sharing of media relating to self-harm, eating disorders, or the use of drugs or alcohol.
As always, feel free to bring any current rules or reworks up for discussion here.

These are the last of our current rule reworks. Feel free to comment on any of these or any previous rules and we can discuss them further!

REWORK:

11.) Hacking & Virus Threats

We have a zero-tolerance policy for any type of hacking threats, whether directed towards our members or Wolfhome itself. Please do not discuss or share tips, tricks, or links related to such activities. Any such behavior, even in jest, may result in severe consequences, including an immediate Permanent Ban from Chatlands.
ORIGINAL: https://wolfhome.com/faq/rules.php#12

REWORK:

12.) Propositioning Minors

It is strictly prohibited to offer drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, sex, cybering, yiffing, or engage in any other inappropriate behavior with minors on Chatlands, even during role-play. Any accounts found to be involved in such activities will be permanently banned across all of Chatlands, and appropriate action will be taken against the offender. This includes reporting the incident to the relevant Internet Service Provider (ISP) and/or local legal authority. Any minor caught soliciting an adult will face similar consequences.

It is important to note that the Wolfhome Staff cannot monitor every chat room and private message on Chatlands. Therefore, as a member, it is your responsibility to report any suspicious activity to the team immediately. We will investigate all allegations as soon as possible and take appropriate action when necessary.

We strongly advise everyone not to disclose personal information such as phone numbers, street addresses, real names, or school names to anyone they meet online. This information can be used to physically locate you and put you in danger. For more information on how to stay safe online, please refer to our Wolfhome Internet Safety Guide, here.

REWORK:

14.) Scamming Others

Scamming is the act of deceiving others for personal gain and is not allowed on Wolfhome. This can take many different forms, including misuse of raised funds and character sales.

You must be honest regarding how you use funds, specifically when it comes to raising money for emergencies. Misleadingly claiming that certain funds are being used for a particular cause when they are not may result in disciplinary action being taken against your account, which could lead to a permanent ban. Additionally, there are similar offenses that can also result in a permanent ban, such as reselling a purchased character for a higher price without adding any additional artwork to enhance its value, or initiating a chargeback from a previous sale for exploitation. Prohibiting this type of behavior helps keep our community members safe from fraud.
